Awesome Day Four: S Meet Crafts, Lacey Meat Man!

So, my mondays are the only day during the week that I work with both of the littles all day. Sometimes its more tiring and sometimes its way more awesome! This day was AWESOME. Little O had been running a bit of a fever so her mom stayed home for the morning and I got to take S for an outing, just the two of us. S and I decided that we would have an AWESOME CRAFT DAY! We hopped in my jeep and headed to....JoAnns! Ive told you about JoAnn. She has the greatest most wonderful craft store ever! I told S that it was the biggest craft store in the world (a small fib) and he was soooo excited to see it! We ran around and looked at everything! We chased eachother and yelled way too loud! After we got our supplies we headed home. And after a quick nap, S and I made these ghosts! Soooo fun. We made a family! It was awesome.

A smaller, but still awesome, anecdote came from the door to door meat salesman. Yes, you read correctly. While the Littles were napping a guy knocked on the door and asked if we were interested in buying any steaks and having him deliver them regularly. I told him I was just the nanny and didnt think that my bosses wanted his steaks. He then inquired about where my home was located and asked if I would be interested in his steaks. I told him I was a veggetarian and figured this would be the surest way to get him out of the doorway. He said alright and left. However, 15 minutes later, another knock at the door and it is Mr. MeatMan again. He proceeds in acknoledging my veggetarianism while handing me a piece of paper with his name and number on it and then tells me to call him and he will take me to a particular veggetarian resturant in the pearl district by my apartment. It was very sweet actually. He was a bit nervous but very very bold. He wasnt bad looking by any means and had a bit of charm about him. I was in a bit of shock about it but told him I wouldnt be calling him because I have a boyfriend. He was a little bummed but I gave him heaps of credit on his approach. It took a lot of guts and I love those kind of bold gestures. Anyways, I thought it was pretty awesome.

Before I left, S showed me his new halloween costume! A dragon! So awesome and im so jealous.

Also, while the Littles napped, I made my own ghost! I meant for him to be a sleepy ghost, but everyone else thinks he is a stoner ghost.

What do you think?

“But it’s hard to stay mad when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once and it’s too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst. And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life.” — American Beauty
