Silence

5.13.2010

"I was alone, but not really alone, either.
I was surrounded by something i can only describe as a little pocket of silence,
a silence so rare that i didn't want to exhale,
for fear of scaring it off.
I was seamlessly still.
I don't know when i'd ever felt such stillness."
-Eat Prey Love

  1. What a beautiful quote, and that picture accompanies it perfectly! I've had those times when the silence is so perfect you don't even want to move. I love to have those experiences, and since they don't happen often, they are especially wonderful :)

“But it’s hard to stay mad when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once and it’s too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst. And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life.” — American Beauty
