...I am restless. Uneasy. I cant put one foot in front of the other with any sort of confidence. What a difference two weeks can make. My focus has shifted. And even though, it has shifted to two major, important, and now unavoidable things, I cant help but feel that I am neglecting the things I was so driven on just two short weeks ago. I just hope that I can find my way back to that path with the same intense passion and drive I was overflowing with before.

...I am planning. My mind is racing with plans for the new loft. I cannot wait! I am really hoping this move will be a good opportunity for me to practice organization and moderation. In the next two weeks I will be throwing out a lot and bringing in a little. We are trying to find the few key pieces we will be willing to spend a little more on, hoping we will get more out of them. Good plan? I think so.

...I am in love. So in love with my little puppy. Dexter is the best little dog I could have hoped for. He has been so great. He has been sleeping through the night, though he likes to wake up a little earlier than I do. He loves to chew and run and sleep and growl. And he follows me where ever I go. And I love it. I love him.

I couldn't wait...

Meet Dexter.
My new best friend.

Whats up?

Wow, what a crazy last couple of weeks. Its been nuts. And Im sorry it has resulted in neglecting my dear little blog. So what have I been up to you ask? Well, too much to list, but here is a big one! (thats what she said)

So, big news. Well kind of. The boyfriend and I are moving in together! In our minds we have basically been living together this entire time, but now we are making it official! We decided quite a while ago and we are both really excited!  I cant wait!

And so the lease to my apartment is up at the end of May, so I have been skimming craigslist to just get an idea of whats out there. Then all of the sudden, I found this amazing space. Seriously so cool. An industrial type loft with 20ft ceilings, concrete floors and a huge garage door that opens the lower space to the outside. It was also a live/work space so I could have my office down there and legally have clients there. So rad. So we went right over the next day to meet with the landlord and we loved it. And he seemed very nice and seemed so eager for us to get it, we were already convinced this would be our new home.

But that night I found these amazing apartments that I remember seeing built last year. There is this area in Portland called Mississippi that is simply amazing. It was the first neighborhood I got to know when I moved here, its so cool. I had had these apartments in mind when searching and finally found them online. We set up a viewing the next morning as our "back up plan". We fell in love. There are so many perks to this place its insane.

So after not hearing at all from the landlord of the first space (he didnt send the apps like he said he would, we called 4 times and each time he acted like it was a mistake and said he would send them again. He lied. Im sorry, but if you dont want us living in your space, please give me the respect of just telling me. I can handle it. That drives me nuts! Anyways...) we applied for the Mississippi lofts! We got them same day! And we are thrilled! We move in mid-may!

I have even bigger news coming too. I really really cant wait to tell you about what I am doing today, but you will just have to wait! Its big, its great, I am through the roof excited. And I will let you in on it tonight or tomorrow!!!
What have you been up to?

Today I fell very ill in the blink of an eye while at work. Luckily, the boyfriend was there to help me out. Yes, my bosses not only allow, but encourage my boyfriend to come over while Im working. I honestly couldnt have gotten by with out him there. He continued to take care of me the rest of the day, hydrating me, laying with me, and attempting to fulfill incoherent requests spilling from my lips. I was utterly miserable and couldnt have made it through the day with out him. I am one lucky girl. And now that I am feeling a little better, I am finally going to eat and then we are going to snuggle up and watch a movie.
Happy :)

Alice & Rachelle

I saw Alice in Wonderland today with my best friend Rachelle.
It was pretty magical.
Then we went back to my sunlit apartment and spent the rest of the afternoon crafting.
It was also magical.
What did you do today?

My wonderful weekend...

Bryce Lynden
To my surprise I got to get off work early. I had a great day with the kids but it was nice to get home early. The boyfriend left for Eugene with his brother so I was in for an evening to myself. I spent it editing photos and watching girly movies. I also ended up sleeping on the couch. hehe.

I woke up early and watched another movie. I edited some more photos and ate pasta for breakfast. Then I went to dance practice, which was great considering I hadnt been in 2 weeks. Then I went home to get ready and I was off to Eugene.
I got to chat with my mom for a little bit then I was on my way to the boyfriends parents house. We hung out for a while with all of his family. It was really nice. His sister in now in the air force and left the next morning for Germany. So it was really great to see her before she left. Then we went with his brothers and sisters-in-laws to this little dive bar (that I dont care much for) but it was fun with good company. The best part was that I got to meet a fellow photographer, Jamie Jones, that I have been friends with on face book but have never actually met. I "met" her because she married a friend of mine from highschool, Kody, who just happens to be the brother of one of the boyfriends sister-in-laws. Get it? Anyways, she was wonderful. I cant even tell you. It was as if I had paid for a mini mentor session. She is one of the sweetest spirits ive met in a long time. She is generous and encouraging and I learned this all in the first 2 hours of face time.
Then it was back to my parents house for a mini hot tub sesh with the boyfriend. Then I passed out reading a book in my childhood bedroom.

I woke up to a call from one of my best friends Andi. We made a plan to hang out and she picked me up an hour later with the little man from the photography above! We went to Cafe Yumm (my fave place ever) and then to her house to hang out with her fiance and sister (also good friends of mine). It had been wayyyy too long and felt like home.
After a little nap on my parents couch, the boyfriend and I went to his grandmothers house. I simply adore his grandmother. She is teeny tiny and says the sweetest things you could think of. I just love his wonderful, never ending family. They are so great.
We then went back to my families dinner and ate even more. And visted for just a little longer.
I ofcourse slept for most of the drive home while the wonderful boyfriend drove in silence. Poor thing. But we ended the night, and weekend, with some relaxing cuddling and some Wonder Years!

How was your weekend?

“But it’s hard to stay mad when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once and it’s too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst. And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life.” — American Beauty
